Michael is a dynamic speaker, accomplished author, and experienced executive known for his innovative approach to leadership and learning. As Vice President of Innovative Learning for the Public Education Foundation in Chattanooga, TN, and cofounder of devX PD, a national consulting firm, Michael blends cutting-edge technology expertise with a talent for delivering transformative professional development. Over the course of his career, he has empowered more than 250 organizations to achieve meaningful progress toward their missions.

Michael’s speaking engagements and workshops have taken him to prestigious venues around the globe, including the White House, NASA Headquarters, the National Science Foundation, FabX in Bhutan, Chick-fil-A, and Fab BootUp in Terras Vedras, Portugal. In 2016, Michael joined PEF following a one-year appointment as an Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow at the National Science Foundation in Washington, DC, where he worked in the Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE). At PEF, he spearheaded the development of the Volkswagen eLab network, which introduced cutting-edge digital fabrication labs to public schools across Southeast Tennessee, transforming how students and teachers engage with technology and hands-on learning.
